Glee is a televison show on the Fox network. It's about a highschool singing club that is constantly trying to make it to the state competion for singing. They are also trying to win over their school who views them all as losers and freaks. They often get "slushied" which is when someone buys an extra large slushie and throws it into a face a glee member. They often have to overcome the typical struggles of a highschooler through song and dance. Now, this may sound cheesy, but with the creative song selection and the futuristic dance moves the show comes together to make a wonderful family show.
Creator Ryan Murphy says he came up with the idea for Glee as a film, but with the help of his buddies, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, they came up with the first season. Now all three men work together to make every episode and Falchuk and Murphy serve as the main directors of the show. When Glee first started the creators had a hard time finding songs that they were allowed to use. The artists of the songs were a little weary of just letting this brand new televison show use their songs. But after the first episode appeared featuring Don't Stop Believing by Journey, emails came flooding in begging the producers to use certain artists songs. Some famous singers even got an entire episode dedicated to them.
The Main characters of the show are Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), Rachel Berry (Lea Michelle), Quinn Fabrey (Dianna Argon), Artie Abram (Kevin McHale), Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer), and Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley). Finn and Rachel often steal the show with their duets, but Kurt and Mercedes are known to belt out electrifying solos. Quinn is mostly known for the drama she creates between the glee kids.
