The Legend of Zelda, also called Legend of Zelda, is a high fantasy action-adventure video game series that was developed and published by Nintendo. It's gameplay consists of a mixture of action, adventure, and puzzle solving. The series centers on Link, the protagonist and main playable character. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda from Ganondorf-also known as Ganon-who is the main antagonist of the story. The series usually takes place in the land of Hyrule, but, in other games, the story takes place on Koholint Island or in the land of Termina. Other antagonists have appeared in the series such as Vaati.

The story commonly involves the relic known as the Triforce, which is a set of three omnipotent golden triangles. Link holds the Triforce of Courage, Princess Zelda holds the Triforce of Wisdom, and Ganondorf holds the Triforce of Power. Whoever obtains all pieces of the Triforce will have their wish granted.
