Code Geass is an anime series where Japan is conquered by an nation known as Brutania. The main charactor Lelouch V. Brutania, 17th hear to the brutanian throne, was exiled to Japan, later to be renamed area 11, and presumed to be dead.
He of corse was not dead and was being sheltered by the Ashferd family. The story begins while Lelouch is a student at Ashferd Acadamy. He is unlucky enough to get caught up in a terrorist attack launched by the elevens (Japanees) who by this time have already lost all of their rights, and in doing so, he recieves the power of geass, the ability to comand anyone to do absolutly anything, and becomes Zero, a symbol for all of the weak to rally behind, and wages his war on Brutania
Code Geass is my favorate anime for two reasons, one is because it has an organization to it that I haven't seen in any other series; and two, because fullmetal doesn't have an anime that does the series justace as a whole. One of the things that I respect most about the auther though is the amount of reaserch they do before writing the series. I don't know if it was true for the first one but in the latest code geass series that they are writing, it took them at least one year in research before they even began. I think that anyone who watched this series would very quickly be unable to stop, so of course, I recomend it.
