Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is an English singer-songwrite.Her musical style has been compared to that of Kate Nash, Lykke Li, Tracey Thorn, and Björk.She began playing the clarinet at the age of nine, and at 14 began learning guitar. She started songwriting at the age of 15 and while in college she won a singing competition. Signed to Polydor Records in September 2009, she made her debut single. "Under the Sheets", which was released digitally in the United Kingdom on November 15, 2009, peaking outside the top 40. She currently has one studio album, Lights. She has 6 singles, all making appearences on UK's single's chart. She's been nominated for over 10 awards and won may including: BBC Sound's Sound of 2010, BRIT's Critic's Choice (2010), and Glamour Magazine's Pandora Newcoming of 2011. Goulding's "Under the Sheets" was also remixed by American rap duo Chiddy Bang and features on their mixtape Airswell. Frankmusik told Digital Spy he hoped to collaborate with Goulding on his upcoming album. The two previously worked together on Ellie's track Wish I Stayed. Also rumoured to be soon collaborating with pop sensation Rihanna after regular meetings with different managements. She also recently sang the vocals for dubstep band Klaypex in their song, "When I'm Alone".
