What I love about Architecture In Helsinki is how original and different they are. They're a band from Australia whose sound is truly unique, making use of wide gamet of instrumerst ranging from the typical- guitars, drums and the like- to concert instuments like trumpets and tubas, all the way to samplers and power tools. The group's vocal presentation is perhaps the most prominent feature of their sound, spanning from shouted and harsh, to smooth and lyrical. It's that less-than-accessible vocal aesthetic that often turns people away from the group at first, but there really is something special beneath Architecture in Helsinki's offbeat exterior. Here are some of my personal recommendations:

The group has released four albums to date, and is going to release their fifth, Moment Bends, this April. The song Souvenirs from their album Fingers Crossed was featured in a Sprint cell phone commercial.
